Qualification advancement
Since 2005 the Institute of Advanced Educational Technologies also is involved in qualification advancement of the unemployed within the course program under the specialty "Corporate management. SME essentials" upon request from the State employment center.
The unemployed are taught pursuant to the Program of President of Ukraine aiming at creating 5 mn jobs throughout 2005-2009, the Law of Ukraine “On the National program to help develop SMEs in Ukraine" dated 21.12.2000 ¹2157-111 and Order of the State employment center dated 16.08.2000 ¹ 50 to enforce the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 02.08.2000 ¹1190, as well as to increase efficiency in teaching managers the Business essentials and considering necessities of respective knowledge amongst the unemployed who want to start a business.
Qualification advancement is performed as per requirements of the State employment center (letter dated 26.05.05 ¹ ÄÖ-04-2677/0/6-05 "On improving flat unemployment payout allowance procedures to organize business by the unemployed") and pursuant to the state license granted to the Institute by the Ministry of Education which implies up to 1500 students per year.
Qualification advancement is performed for the unemployed who want to start a business and have higher education and are planned to direct SMEs without the board.
The curriculum for the "Corporate management. SME essentials" envisages 112 teaching hours and includes the following subjects:
- Business and businessmen in Ukraine;
- Legal regulations for making business;
- SME business planning;
- Market economy essentials;
- Contemporary marketing;
- Effective promoting of goods and services;
- Financing and lending of businesses;
- Taxation and simplified accounting and reporting;
- SME IT (Internet) technologies.
The students of "Corporate management. SME essentials" are envisaged to defend business plans.
The mentioned curriculum, as well as availability of interactive lessons, trainings, modern multimedia, computers and web-technologies, books and handout materials contribute to train entrepreneurs in short order.
Students, who successfully pass "Corporate management. SME essentials" and defend their business plans, get qualified and receive a state certificate.
